Everything here runs in a browser with no setup. All the chess libraries are bundled with the site rather than loaded from the internet, so the board and the timer keep working in a room with bad wifi, which is most rooms.
Interactive Board
A full-screen board for a projector or a tablet. Drag pieces freely, step through eight classic openings move by move, or jump to eight common endgame positions. The knight puzzle lives here too.
Chess Timer
A full clock with increment and twelve presets, including the 5+3 and 3+2 controls this framework recommends. Optional move recording with a notation keypad. Runs on any phone or tablet if you have no physical clocks.
Tournament Setup
Enter eight to thirty-two players, optionally tier them by strength, and get the number of rounds, the boards you need, the time control, round one pairings with balanced colors, and a blank score tracker.
Rules & Pieces
Every piece, every move, and every special rule on one page. Keep it open on your phone during the first Learn to Play cycle, and point the Helper at it when a rule question comes up.
Glossary
The vocabulary of the game, plainly defined. Print a copy for the Open Play wall so a player can settle a terminology question without finding an adult.
The whole site is static, so you can save it to a laptop and run it with no internet at all. Useful if your room has unreliable wifi, and useful if devices are locked down.
